Amal Clooney turned up the heat in a plunging red-hot gown during the 2026 Venice Film Festival. On September 4, the British lawyer turned heads in a strapless crimson sweetheart column dress paired with an unexpected accessory as she joined the well-heeled attendees at a glitzy Cartier event.

In a photo shared by Vogue, Amal closed out her week-long parade of stylish street style appearances with husband George Clooney in a glamorous cameo at the Cartier Cinema Club. The human rights lawyer joined stars like Orlando Bloom, Emma Corrin, and Karlie Kloss at Gritti Palace, posing on a balcony in a low-cut red chiffon gown that featured an empire waist. Amal’s dress was subtly draped with ruched fabric from the neckline through her floor-length skirt, creating a fluid element to the column design.

The 48-year-old star added an unexpected pop of color with a vibrant beaded pendant necklace, which featured green, white, red, and yellow beads and was finished with a hanging gold tassel that dipped down to her ribs. Amal—who shares 9-year-old twins Alexander and Ella with the Ocean’s Eleven actor—styled her signature caramel-highlighted brown hair in a deep side part with glamour curls. She highlighted her features with an iridescent purple smoky eyeshadow, a deep plum-colored flush on her cheekbones, and a shimmering mauve lipstick.

The star revamped the LBD in a ruched column gown with an edgy strappy design while supporting George on the red carpet on September 2, when he was honored with the festival’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Amal added some multi-watt shine to her custom Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford gown with $375,000 worth of diamonds and emeralds from Cartier for the event.
