- Anne Hathaway said that she hopes her children will be as “wonderful” as Tom Holland.

- The actress said that Holland, who plays her son in *The Odyssey*, “is like a dream son.”

- Holland previously described Hathaway as a “lifeline” throughout production of Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming epic.

Anne Hathaway hopes her kids can take a page out of Tom Holland‘s book.

The *Princess Diaries* actress shared high praise for the *Spider-Man: Homecoming* star during a joint interview with eTalk on Thursday, explaining why she wants her young children to share qualities with Holland, who plays her son in Christopher Nolan’s *The Odyssey*.

“First of all, I have to say, as a mom in real life, I very much hope all of my children grow up to be as wonderful as my onscreen child,” Hathaway said. “Tom is like a dream son.”

The actress, who is currently expecting her third son with husband Adam Shulman, plays Penelope in Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s epic, while Holland portrays Telemachus, the son she shares with her long-lost husband Odysseus (Matt Damon).

Hathaway said that the interpersonal tightness between herself, her castmates, and Nolan is the “key” to the film’s success.

“We have this amazing script, brilliant actors, but also I just really love Tom, and I really love Matt, and I love Chris,” she said. “So I just feel like, even though this was this big, epic movie, it was really grounded in intimate appreciation of each other, respect for each other.”

She continued, “I don’t think any of us wanted to let Chris down, so I think we all harnessed our highest strength and our highest passion and we just tried to be an actor who was worthy of being in a Chris Nolan movie.”

Hathaway previously worked with Nolan and Damon on 2014’s *Interstellar*. She also worked with the filmmaker on 2012’s *The Dark Knight Rises*.

Holland previously praised Hathaway in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, explaining that working alongside the *Devil Wears Prada* star was “a dream come true” for him.

“She was such a lifeline throughout this entire process,” Holland said. “I’ve been really open about how I was super intimidated walking onto this set, being a part of this cast and working for Chris. Anne, for me, was so supportive. We became really good friends really quickly. It was so helpful for me to get to watch someone at the top of their game doing the best work they’ve ever done and be so gracious about it. She was so helpful. She was the wind in my sails.”

Holland explained why he felt daunted by acting opposite Hathaway. “She’s got such an incredible body of work, and she’s so talented,” he said. “I didn’t know her very well before we’d started the film. And when I met her for the first time, she was so disarming and so sweet.”

The *Devil All the Time* star also enumerated other factors that made him anxious on the set of the action epic. “It goes beyond [Hathaway]. It’s Chris’ crew, they’re a legendary crew,” he said. “It’s Chris himself. It’s *The Odyssey*. It’s the scope and scale. It’s the ambition of what he’s trying to achieve. It’s the locations. So much about this movie was intimidating.”

*The Odyssey* sails into theaters on July 17.
