Bayley’s WWE future seems to be getting clearer. A new backstage update suggests that the former Women’s Champion is expected to return to RAW soon.

There have been questions about Bayley’s status in recent months, especially with her WWE contract reportedly set to expire soon. The 37-year-old superstar has been written off TV since July 18, when she lost to Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event. After the match, Valkyria attacked her, giving WWE a storyline reason for Bayley’s absence.

However, a recent report suggests WWE is getting ready for her return.

A new report suggests Bayley is expected to remain with WWE

According to PWInsider, WWE has been discussing creative plans for Bayley on RAW. The report does not give an exact date. However, WWE reportedly expects her to be “back on the road very soon, likely within the next few weeks.”

Bayley has not officially confirmed that she has signed a new WWE contract. Her contract situation has emerged as a major topic. Nevertheless, WWE continuing to make plans for her return appears to show that the company expects her to remain part of its future plans.

There were already signs that WWE still had plans for Bayley. In the August 24 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer pointed to the repeated mentions of Bayley on RAW as a sign that WWE expected her to return.

That view now appears to match the latest backstage report about WWE’s plans for Bayley.

It could be possible that she will continue her feud with Valkyria. Bayley and Valkyria have remained involved in a storyline even while the former women’s champion has been away, as Valkyria continued to mention her former tag team partner on WWE TV.

Her reported contract expiration timeline also leaves open the possibility that she could return to WWE TV and then finish her time with the company if she chooses not to renew.

However, the current backstage expectation appears to be that Bayley will stay with WWE.
