Brandi Glanville is opening up about the treatment sheās taken to remedy her ongoing health struggles.
On Sunday, Sept. 6, and Monday, Sept. 7, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 53, posted three Instagram Reels explaining to followers that she follows a rigorous regimen of ongoing infusions to help treat her facial parasite.
As she assembled the infusions together on her kitchen counter, she began by saying sheās āso skinny right nowā and canāt eat because the infusions make it difficult for her to eat. āI feel like death. I look like death,ā she said.
Glanville then documented her IV of Imipenem, which she completed via pump. She later noted that she begins that infusion at 4 p.m. and will have it through the night. (Imipenem is a type of antibiotic used to treat severe bacterial infections, according to the Mayo Clinic.)
āI had to learn to do all these with the nurse,ā she explained, noting she does that IV before the nurse comes to her home to administer a different IV. Glanville said her nurse comes for four hours a day in the evenings.

The TV personality said the entire process takes 18 hours and requires āa lot of setup,ā adding that she now rarely leaves her home except to record her podcast, Unfiltered.
In her second video, Glanville briefly elaborated on the source of the problem, saying itās coming from the left side of her face. āI know whatās wrong, and I wanna cut my face open and take it out,ā she said. As the video concluded, she added, āLuckily I found a doctor that can read MRI results and did the MRI.ā
In the third part, Glanville showed herself receiving the infusions while lying in bed. Glanville said that along with receiving the MRI, she also had an ultrasound, and the technician told her there was āsomething aliveā in her face and āit was moving.ā
āAnd sheād never seen anything like it, and the radiologist agreed,ā Glanville said. āSo yeah, if I donāt find a radiologist to come cut this out of my face, Iām gonna do it myself.ā
Glanville then added a video of the ultrasound, as two people examined the monitor.
She opened up about her decision to share these videos in the captions. āFor the first time, Iām showing you what my life has really looked like behind closed doors,ā the first videoās caption read.

Iām not ready to share that part just yet,ā Glanville wrote. āBut I am ready to start showing you what itās taken to get here. This is my reality right now.ā

Her third video began with her sharing that sheās āfinally getting some answers.ā
āThe ultrasound showed something I wasnāt prepared to see⦠and yes, I saw it with my own eyes,ā she said. āThereās a lot more to explain, and I know you guys have questions.ā
āIām going to share more soon and give you a better explanation of what they found, what it means, and what happens next,ā she wrote. āFor now, this is what my days look like. Treatment, answers and hopefully getting closer to getting this OUT of my face.ā

Glanville has been publicly documenting her ongoing health struggles since July 2023. The podcast host initially believed the issues were caused by something she ate while filming the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco. She later claimed that she could see and feel an unknown āparasiteā moving within her face, saying it resembled ātiny bubbles burstingā on her skin.
That year, she was diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema ā a condition that caused severe facial swelling. By December 2024, she said she had already spent āover $70,000ā on the problem. Despite the ongoing efforts, her health struggles continued, and Glanville said she had āpainful lumpsā in her jawbone area, on the side and back of her neck, she revealed in a March 2025 X post.
In February 2026, Glanville announced that her disfigurement was caused by a parasite from herĀ ārupturedā 18-year-old siliconeĀ breast implants, which caused her lymph nodes to become āclogged.ā She revealed that it took 21 different doctors and $200,000 to pinpoint the root of her issues.
She had her implants removed, but she said that the parasite had returned in June. She shared another update that month, revealing that she has a ābenign tumorā in one of her facial lymph nodes.
