Melania Trump fans are convinced they've unearthed the identity of "fake Melania" after years of body double rumors.
The first lady, 56, has been surrounded by rumors she's been replaced by a body double for years. The speculation first started in 2017 and was sparked once again as Melania failed to join her husband Donald Trump on his recent trip to China.
One person who was by the 79-year-old's side on the trip was communications advisor Margo Martin. With pictures from the trip being shared on social media, fans have joked Margo, who the president once called the "most beautiful in the world," is actually Melania's double.

Sharing a picture of Margo from the China trip, one person on X wrote, "Trump called his communications advisor Margo Martin "the most beautiful girl in the world." It's believed Martin was created by AI using the prompts Mar-a-Lago Face, Push-Up Bra, Sephora, Melania Body Double, Alina Habba Is Furious, Hot Rollers and The Next Mrs. Pete Hegseth."

Someone else suggested, "I think she may be the fake Melania that accompanies him sometimes. You can always tell the fake by her height. Mel is 5'11". She's tall. The fake is several inches shorter, and less curvy."

"‘Fake Melania’ is Margo Martin," another fan jokingly declared. A fourth person shared a picture of Margo with the president and wrote, "Trump with Melania…I mean Margo Martin…I mean Margo McAtee…I mean, what is her role?"
The Melania body double theory dates back to 2017 when Guardian columnist Marina Hyde kick started the speculation. At the time, she wrote, "Absolutely convinced Melania is being played by a Melania impersonator these days. Theory: she left him weeks ago."

Later that year, the conspiracy theory gained traction when Melania was photographed wearing a pair of oversized, dark sunglasses after visiting a Secret Service training facility in Maryland with her husband. Thanks to Melania covering her face with her sunglasses, conspiracy theorists went wild, alleging she had been "replaced," with the rumors sticking.
Margo serves as special assistant to the president and communications advisor, with her involvement in the Trump administration increasing following Karoline Leavitt's maternity leave.
The 30-year-old's main responsibility in the White House involves documenting behind-the-scenes material, overseeing high-profile video content and boosting digital interaction. She recently gained attention for joining the president in China.

Following the China state visit, Margo shared a video montage on Instagram. In the clips, President Trump was seen meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping and traveling around Beijing.
It seems Margo has a fan in President Trump as he previously called her "the most beautiful photographer in the world." Margo often films behind-the-scenes footage of the 79-year-old on her iPhone to share on social media.
