You traded for James Harden when nobody believed, gave him a max contract, and then James Harden proceeded to become who he became. You built a team with the Houston Rockets that was a very good roster, built to beat the Golden State Warriors. It didn’t quite happen, but you built a good team. You go to Philly and sign Tyrese Maxey to a max deal, right? He’s done some good things in Philly, just can’t quite get over the hump. And Bob Myers — Daryl Morey couldn’t get over the hump due to teams that Bob Myers was putting together. And now Daryl Morey is going to lose his role as the president of basketball operations due to Bob Myers making the basketball decisions in Philly. He’s more than capable, well-deserved, and should be making basketball decisions anywhere. But Daryl Morey just kind of keeps running into Bob Myers, and it’s unfortunate.”
