Former ESPN pundit Linda Cohn ruthlessly slammed Brittany Mahomes and Kelly Stafford for complaining about the NFL’s officiating and schedule.

In the closing seconds of the Kansas City Chiefs’ 28-24 loss to the Denver Broncos, Patrick Mahomes connected with wide receiver Rashee Rice for what appeared to be a go-ahead touchdown. Yet the score was swiftly erased once referees called offensive tackle Jaylon Moore for a false start.

Brittany, Mahomes’ wife, did little to hide her frustration with the ruling, writing on Instagram: "You can't tell me you call that on a game winning [touchdown]. Oh wait yeah I can cause it's us. That was the weakest call I have ever seen, you can't tell me otherwise."

Brittany’s post didn’t exactly sit well with Cohn, who noted that the Chiefs have been receiving favorable calls for years. “Are you kidding me, Brittany?” she asked on her self-titled podcast.

“Brittany, have you heard the conversations happening constantly outside Kansas City for the last few years? You may need to expand your group chat.

Cohn added, “So you can understand why people hear ‘because it’s us’ and think, ‘Are we remembering the same football games, Brittany?’ You saw those.”

Brittany was far from the only “WAG” who criticized the NFL this week. Kelly, the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, also sparked significant online controversy after criticizing the league for not giving Los Angeles a "true bye week."

The Rams will face the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium on Nov. 15 during Week 10, followed by their Week 11 bye. However, the team faces only a 10-day gap before confronting the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving eve.

Kelly took to social media to challenge why the Rams received such a compressed break when most teams enjoy 14 days off during their bye.

"I had to take a second off my workout because I keep getting updates and alerts like, 'Oh, after the bye week they'll be back, after the bye week he'll be healthy.' Not for the Rams, though, because they didn't get a bye week," Kelly said in a clip posted to her Instagram Story.

"And if you're new to the NFL, a bye week is when they have the week off, so they play Sunday, then they don't play the next Sunday, then they play the Sunday after that."

Though Cohn sympathized with Kelly’s argument, she argued that her delivery could use some work. “Kelly makes the case for player recovery that’s a conversation worth having. Just understand why your own game day exhaustion might not generate the sympathy you expect,” Cohn said.

While Cohn encouraged Brittany and Kelly to both use their platforms, she urged the pair to think twice before hitting post.

“Marriage to a quarterback doesn’t disqualify you from commentary, from having an opinion. It also doesn’t exempt your commentary from criticism,” Cohn continued. “Kelly and Brittany are two people making public statements.

“Sometimes before you hit post, the most useful question is, ‘How is this going to sound to somebody whose life looks very, very different from my own?’ Three words: Know the room.”
