Representatives of Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, reportedly disputed an explosive report on the couple’s relationship with the streaming platform Netflix. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s rep calls report on Netflix partnership ‘categorically false’

An explosive report by Variety recently explored the partnership between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry and the giant streaming platform Netflix. Per the news outlet, some sources also told them that the streamer did not see the bombshell interview between Oprah Winfrey and the Sussex couple coming. However, a representative of the royal couple disputed this claim, calling it “categorically false.”

As reported by the news outlet, the spokesperson went on to say that it is completely untrue that Netflix was not aware of the interview between Oprah Winfrey and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. While talking about the deal between them, the representative told the news outlet, “Netflix and Archewell had legal counsel involved to oversee the evolution of the deal.” They continued, “As is common practice for any deal changes in Hollywood.”

In the meantime, the news outlet further reported that the publishing of Prince Harry’s memoir, titled “Spare,” by Penguin Random House during Netflix’s “Harry & Meghan” documentary series rollout, left the streaming platform feeling blindsided again.

Meanwhile, per the news outlet, insiders told them that Meghan Markle told Netflix chief Ted Sarandos, “any publication would be far in the future, if it happened at all.” However, a spokesperson for the Duchess of Sussex reportedly disputed the claim, calling it “categorically untrue.” The spokesperson continued, “There was open communication with Netflix months before release to coordinate timing between book and series.”
