Hilary Duff revealed her fourth pregnancy was physically painful and made her feel her body was done

Duff admitted she has never enjoyed pregnancy, describing it as challenging but worth it for the outcome

She plans to bring her kids on her upcoming Lucky Me tour, treating it as a family road trip

Hilary Duff's most recent pregnancy might have been her last.

The 38-year-old mother of four opened up about the challenge of carrying her now-1-year-old daughter, Townes.

“For me, by my third trimester of my fourth [pregnancy], in my body, for the first time, being pregnant was, like, in a lot of pain,” Duff said on the Thursday, May 14 episode of Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce. “I think my body was like, we don't need to do this again.”

Duff, who is also mom to son Luca, 14, and daughters Banks, 7, and Mae, 5, shared that being pregnant while caring for her other children was a real challenge.

“I can't keep up with three kids and be as, like, active and running around with them and climbing up in the top bunk and down and, you know, on my feet all day,” she said of the pregnancy.

She added, “My body was like, we're done.”

And while her most recent pregnancy was the biggest challenge, Duff admitted, “It's never been easy. No pregnancy, not a single one of my pregnancies have I ever just been like, ‘Oh my god, I love this!' I don't love it. I love the outcome of it. Hate being pregnant.”

One big issue Duff has with the idea of pregnancy is the idea of “having something in my body.”

“It's crazy,” she said. “And then what you're left with afterwards and how long that whole thing takes and the pressure on you.”

In the end, Duff said, “It's all worth it,” but added, “I think each time I've been pregnant and, kind of, gotten to the other side, and I don't mean that in a negative way, but just, like, where you're, like, feel like a person again and your clothes start to fit and and all of that, you're like, oh, I recognize that thing, and that's happening to me right now.”

The pop star recently opened up to PEOPLE about bringing her family along on her Lucky Me tour, which kicks off in June.

“All of these cities have so much to offer, and I feel like there would be no other time when my kids would see the U.S. like this, so we're just thinking of it as a big, long road trip," she told PEOPLE. "And hopefully, they don't get bored with seeing my show every night.”
