Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton did not show for scheduled depositions in the House Oversight Committeeās investigation into suspected sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, and now Republicans say they will begin contempt of Congress proceedings. Attorneys for the Clintons said in a letter to the panel on Jan. 12 that the Clintons had already cooperated āproactively and voluntarily.ā Said Rep. James Comer, chairman of the committee: āWeāve communicated with President Clintonās legal team for months now ... and they continue to delay, delay, delay.ā Bill Clinton had a friendship with Epstein but has denied wrongdoing.
āDilbertā creator Scott Adams dies
Scott Adams, whose comic āDilbertā and its satirical take on corporate life earned him wide acclaim before his comments on race got his strip banned, has died. He was 68 and had revealed in May 2025 that he had metastatic prostate cancer and did not have long to live. āDilbertā was featured in 2,000 newspapers in 65 countries before Adams commented on his YouTube channel in 2023 that Black people were part of a āhate groupā that White people should āget awayā from; he said his comments were meant to be hyperbole. āI had an amazing life,ā Adams wrote in a letter read by his former wife on Jan. 13. āI gave it everything I had.ā
Mattel unveils an autistic Barbie
Mattelās Barbie Fashionistas has welcomed a new member: the autistic Barbie. The doll, developed over 18 months with the Autistic Self Advocacy Network, has features such as flexible elbows and hands for stimming, or the repetitive body movements some people with autism display. Its accessories include pink noise-canceling headphones, which some people with autism wear; a pink finger clip fidget spinner; and a tablet with Augmentative and Alternative Communication apps. āIt is so important for young autistic people to see authentic, joyful representations of themselves,ā the networkās Colin Killick said. The Barbie is available now.

Mike Tomlin ends 19-year run with Steelers
It may not have been fully unexpected, but it was still stunning to hear: Mike Tomlin will no longer be the coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team announced a day after a 30-6 wild-card loss to the Houston Texans that Tomlin, 53, had decided to step aside.
