Mike Tomlin ends 19-year run with Steelers

It may not have been fully unexpected, but it was still stunning to hear: Mike Tomlin will no longer be the coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team announced a day after a 30-6 wild-card loss to the Houston Texans that Tomlin, 53, had decided to step aside. In 19 years, he never had a losing season, and his 201-126-2 career record places him among the NFL’s winningest coaches. ā€œIt has been an absolute honor to lead this team,ā€ Tomlin said in a statement. ā€œWhile this chapter comes to a close, my respect and love for the Pittsburgh Steelers will never change.ā€ āˆ’ Compiled and written by Robert Abitbol
