The *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* trailer revealed quite a bit about the next outing for Tom Holland's web-slinger, including first looks at Jon Bernthal's Punisher, Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner, and Michael Mando's Scorpion. However, one much smaller moment has drawn the attention of Marvel fans.
Many are speculating that the new preview might spoil the ending to *Daredevil: Born Again* season 2, which won't premiere on Disney+ until March 24.
We know the film is set four years after the events of *Spider-Man: No Way Home*, which ended with the world forgetting about the existence of Peter Parker. *Brand New Day* also takes place after the events of season 2 of the new *Daredevil* series, and Peter has been anonymously active as Spidey for some time.
A scene that takes place around the 36-second mark of Wednesday's trailer shows Spider-Man being handed the key to the city by...is that Sheila Rivera?

Spider-Man receives the key to the city in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'.
Actress Zabryna Guevara plays Sheila, an assistant and political advisor to Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) on *Daredevil: Born Again*. Her presence in the *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* trailer now has many fans thinking: if she's handing the key to the city to Spidey and posing for the photo op, that would mean Fisk is no longer mayor by the end of season 2.

We'll await the official confirmation, but this at least seemed like it would be the case. *Daredevil* showrunner Dario Scardapane and executive producer Sana Amanat previously told EW that, if *Born Again* season 1 is about the rise of Mayor Fisk, season 2 is about the rise of the resistance. Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock is assembling his own rebellion force to take down the autocrat seated behind the mayor's desk. That includes an appearance by Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones.
"Daredevil is a revolutionary in this season," Marvel Television boss Brad Winderbaum said. "He's a rebel and it's fun to see him go up against the power of the city."

*Spider-Man: Brand New Day* will premiere in theaters on July 31. As revealed by the trailer, Peter's DNA is mutating. He no longer has to use synthetic webs. His body is organically creating them, which causes some growing pains, along with his other Spidey senses.

There's also some new threats. There's a hooded, undisclosed figure who can seemingly control minds, as well as a clan of ninjas that look an awful lot like the Hand from Marvel comics. And, of course, Mando's Scorpion takes a swipe at Spider-Man with his ginormous — and venomous — mechanical stinger.
The trailer arrived Wednesday after Sony Pictures and Holland partnered with social media influencers and fans around the world to tease out the footage in pieces. "We are doing something that has never been done before," the star said in a video. "This is all about community," he added, "this is all about being together. So let's go."
