Joseph Duggar was in attendance at a Duggar family costume party just one month before his arrest on child molestation charges.

In a family vlog shared by his sister, Jessa Seewald, on YouTube on Feb. 9, Joseph and his wife, Kendra Duggar, were seen showing off their costumes with fellow party guests.

"We're a Christmas tree, and I'm the lights for her Christmas Tree," Joseph says in the clip as Kendra smiles and shows off her ensemble.

The video has resurfaced after Joseph, 31, was arrested and charged in connection with allegations that he molested a 9-year-old girl while on vacation. On Wednesday, the Bay County Sheriff's Office in Florida announced that the Arkansas native was arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older. He is awaiting extradition to Panama City, where the alleged incident took place.

Summarizing the child’s report to the authorities, the sheriff's office alleged that during a family vacation in 2020, Joseph repeatedly asked the young girl to get on his lap, and when she sat next to him on a couch, he covered them with a blanket and "manipulated the victim's underwear and grazed her genitals."

Authorities said that the girl, now 14, recently came forward to police. She claimed that Joseph apologized for his actions at the time and then stopped. Investigators also alleged that the girl's father confronted Joseph on Tuesday, and that the former reality star "admitted his actions" to him and detectives.

Despite their appearance in Seewald's vlog, Joseph and Kendra have been off social media since November 2021, when his brother Josh Duggar went on trial for child pornography charges. Joseph and Kendra first joined Instagram in February 2019 and shared photos of their life with four children.

Josh was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for his crimes.

The Duggar family rose to fame via the TLC reality series *19 Kids and Counting*, which followed former politician Jim Bob Duggar, wife Michelle, and their brood of nearly 20 children. Premiering in 2008 (as *17 Kids and Counting*), the program ran for 10 seasons, only to be canceled in 2015 after news of sex abuse claims against Josh emerged.

In 2015, Joseph condemned his brother's behavior after Josh, now 38, was accused of sexually abusing five girls, including his sisters Jill Dillard and Seewald.

"Whenever somebody you respect the most is willing to get up and proclaim what we believe as Christians, about being true to your wife, you'd never think that that's the person who's involved in it," Joseph said in a promo clip for a then-upcoming three-part special airing on TLC titled *Jill & Jessa: Counting On*.

"It broke my heart," Joseph added, noting that he was surprised that Josh "was living such a secret life."

The Duggars continued appearing on TLC in *Counting On*, an 11-season spinoff that didn't feature Josh but did include Joseph and Kendra. But, once again, the show was canceled amid Josh's legal troubles.
