In an interview with The Mail on Sunday, the former reality star, 41, said she had ā€œno ideaā€ how thin she’d become in 2025 until she saw a photo of herself in a fitting for the 2026 Grammy Awards.

ā€œI looked like the f---ing Crypt Keeper,ā€ Kelly told the outlet, referring to a ghoulish character from the Tales from the Crypt horror franchise.

ā€œI said, ā€˜This is scary. I didn’t know I looked like this,’ ā€œ she continued. ā€œMy spine — you could see every single bone. I couldn’t see what other people saw because I was in so much pain. I just saw a broken person.ā€

The Grammy Awards, held back in February, included a tribute to Ozzy, who died at age 76.

According to a death certificate obtained by PEOPLE,Ā the legendary rock star died of ā€œout of hospital cardiac arrestā€ and ā€œacute myocardial infarction,ā€ with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction listed as ā€œjoint causes.ā€

For the event, Kelly told The Mail on Sundayshe ā€œwore a wig to cover my face, so you couldn’t see how skinny my cheekbones really were.ā€

She said her team also searched for a flattering outfit for her to wear on the red carpet. ā€œThey knew I was going through something. So, we were trying to find clothes to not make me look skinnier,ā€ Kelly explained.

ā€œI was scared. I wanted to be there to support my mom [Sharon Osbourne] and to pay tribute to my father’s legacy, [but] I don’t think I should have gone. I wasn’t very well,ā€ she added.

She also told the outlet that she’s tried her best to shield her 3-year-old son, Sidney — whom she shares with her ex-fiancĆ©,Sid Wilson — from seeing her upset.

ā€œWhenever he walked in the room, something would come over me, and I’d snap into Miss Fun Mom,ā€ Kelly said. ā€œI didn’t cry in front of him. … I always made sure that he was not exposed to inappropriate sorrow.ā€

According to The Mail on Sunday, Kelly is planning a three-part documentary series that will follow her grief in hopes that it helps others experiencing bereavement.

ā€œI’m [telling] my story because there’s a lot that people don’t know,ā€ she told the outlet. ā€œThe person I was before my dad died is dead. That person doesn’t exist anymore.ā€
