As Love Island USA came to a close for Season 8, some fans found themselves celebrating - but not necessarily because of which couple won the show.

Now that the season finale of the Peacock reality dating series has arrived, viewers got to see which couple took home the $100,000 cash prize, and the title of Love Island USA winners.

However, one of the bigger topics of discussion outside of Melanie and Sincere's bizarre final date with a major faux-pas that infuriated fans, was the friendship between the four women who made it to the final--Melanie Moreno, Trinity Tatum, Aniya Harvey and Kayda Bosse - who also made history for the show, as all four women are Black.

• Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spotted at CA airport ahead of JFK-inspired honeymoon

• Donald Trump begged not to act like a 'complete idiot for one day' amid humiliating error

Fans who were elated by the realization quickly shared their love for it on social media as the finale played out, with some noting that the women themselves also celebrated the historic milestone.

"I just can't wrap my head around the fact that we have four beautiful black women in the final four," Trnity said in a conversation with Melanie and Aniya during Zach and Kayda's date. "And I feel like that's what alot of people need to see, that 'hey I can do that,' 'Hey, I can be on that show.' 'I can find love and still have a good time.' I'm just so glad that we're here."

"I'm so proud of you guys, deada--," Aniya added. "Ya'll dead f-g deserve it though.

All three then cheered together, "We deserve it!"

“I just can’t wrap my mind around the fact that we have four beautiful black women in the final 4” trinity mela and aniya celebrating the fact that they made love island history together… this is everything," one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Following the official crowning of the winners and where the couples all placed, others further celebrated, as Aniya and Trinity--the two women who were dark-skinned black women--took the top two spots in their partnerships with Bryce Alakai Dettloff and Carl Lee Schmidt.

"it has come to my attention that this is the first time to darkskin black women were top 2 in love island, that means more to me than anything."

Trinity and Bryce were crowned as the official season 8 winners after remaining as a strong couple since the first day in the villa, while Aniya and Karl, who were a recent match, took second.

Melanie and Sincere Rhea took third, while Kayda and Zac Georgiou came in fourth.

The four couples overcame a series of obstacles and drama in nearly all of their relationships, with Zach and Kayda and Melanie and Sincere both facing massive hurdles over Zach and SIncere's actions when they were both at Casa Amor.

They also faced hurdles when Zach and Kayda both broke down over being voted amongst the least compatible couples by viewers, while Melanie and Sincere also faced trouble after Family Day, when their respective loved ones came down hard on their tumultuous romance.

Aniya and Karl also had some struggles, after Aniya initially ended their romance to pursue a connection with KC Chandler. However, after he opted to instead explore his feeling for Tierra Davis, she was left single.

After Karl was brought back to the villa, the pair reconnected, which led them to their finale finish.
