Influencer Katelynn Ordone opened up about the “hard” parts of returning to social media after her son Preston’s death in a July 12 Instagram post

Katelynn said she is “still not ready to share everything with the world again just yet,” but is starting to make new memories in the wake of her son’s death

She also changed her Instagram name and shared photos with an unidentified man, leading fans to speculate she has split from husband Jaelen Ordone

Katelynn Ordone is sharing the struggles she has faced since the death of her 2-year-old son, Preston.

The content creator stepped back from social media in late 2025, months after Preston, who was known on social media as the “Okay Baby,” was killed in an automobile accident in April 2025. She later returned from the hiatus, which she described as a “mental health break,” in January.

About six months after she resumed posting on social media, and “443 days since my baby boy has been in heaven,” Katelynn shared an emotional Instagram post on Saturday, July 12, in which she opened up about the “hard” parts of her return.

“As many of you already know… I’ve had a hard time coming back to social media since losing Preston. I’ve struggled to even pick up my phone to capture new memories, knowing he won’t be in any more of them,” she wrote.

Katelynn — who is also mom to an 8-year-old daughter, Paisley — went on to say that “there have been so many ups and downs, and while I’m still not ready to share everything with the world again just yet, I’ve finally started picking up my phone again and capturing new memories more often.”

“Even though it’s still hard, I’m grateful I’ve reached this point because I know that’s what Preston would want,” she continued in the post. “I truly believe he wants his mama to continue finding joy until we meet again someday.”

“So, here’s a new memory I’d like to share with you guys,” Katelynn wrote, seemingly referring to the photos she shared in the post of herself and a man — whom she did not identify — spending time outdoors.

The content creator also changed her name on Instagram to Katelynn Norris, leading fans to speculate that she may have split from husband Jaelen Ordone. She has not publicly commented on split rumors. (PEOPLE has reached out to Katelynn for comment.)

“I hope to keep sharing more as I’m ready,” she concluded the post. “Thank y’all so much for all the love, support, and grace you’ve shown me through all of this.”

Katelynn and Jaelen were both in the car with their son in April 2025 when their Ford F-150 veered off the road and collided with a tree, according to Louisiana State Police. The St. Tammany Parish coroner’s office previously told PEOPLE that Preston died from “blunt-force injuries” and confirmed the death was categorized as accidental.

Both parents survived the crash, and Paisley was not in the car at the time.

Katelynn is known for sharing content about her family life, including videos of Preston, who was known as the “Okay Baby” because of viral videos of him telling his mom “OK” before proceeding to do the opposite of what she asked.
