The Parent Trap actress Lisa Ann Walter got visibly emotional over costar Lindsay Lohan's success.

"I'm going to cry," the Abbott Elementary star said when reflecting on her reunion with Lohan.

Walter and Elaine Hendrix previously told EW that Lohan called Disney to get a potential Parent Trap sequel off the ground.

It seems that playing Chessy alongside Lindsay Lohan in TheParent Trap still has actress Lisa Ann Walter's emotions in checkmate.

In a new interview with Good Morning America, the Abbott Elementary star and new It Was an Accident stand-up special performer became visibly emotional when asked about Lohan's glow-up from child star to tabloid target to her current life as a resurged Hollywood force. Walter and Lohan recently saw each other at the Disney Upfront presentation.

"I hardly ever see her because she lives most of the year in Dubai and she's got a husband and a baby and she's busy," Walter said. "We talk sometimes on social media. It was magic to see her. I'm going to cry!"

Walter paused briefly as tears welled in her eyes, telling the GMA hosts that she's "so proud of the woman she's become and how happy she is" now.

Walter previously starred with Lohan in Disney's 1998 reimagining of The Parent Trap, in which Walter played the nanny to twin girls (both played by Lohan) who meet for the first time and attempt to navigate their father's (Dennis Quaid) new relationship with an unpleasant woman (Elaine Hendrix).

The star also celebrated Lohan's reinvention as a businesswoman and producer, adding that, when she saw her at the Freakier Friday movie premiere last summer, Lohan gave Walter an update on all the projects she has coming in the future.

"She's doing a show which, by the way, looks really good," Walter said, referencing Lohan's role alongside Kit Harington and Shailene Woodley in Hulu's adaptation of the novel Count My Lies. "Janelle James and I both saw the little promo for it and went 'Oh, that's good.' I'm going to watch that."

GMA anchor Robin Roberts told Walter that she was also "happy to see her doing as well as she is," after Lohan's numerous headline-making legal troubles in the early aughts.

Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis opened up to Entertainment Weekly on a similar topic last year in a cover story tied to their reunion in the highly anticipated sequel, Freakier Friday.

"She was looking to find [a calm] place and quiet. That wasn't going to be in New York or L.A., because they're filled with aggro people. It impressed me so much," said Curtis of Lohan's move to Dubai, where she restarted her life ahead of a career comeback in three Netflix films: Falling for Christmas, Irish Wish, and Our Little Secret.

In another interview with EW, Hendrix, who reunited with Lohan for a Freakier Friday cameo, observed that Lohan now has a "full" life, and that the pair is "staying in touch" more than they have before: "I’m so happy for her and where she is in her life. It’s nice, in these new chapters of our lives, to be in contact."

On the note of The Parent Trap,Hendrix and Walter told EW at the 2025 Emmys that a sequel was potentially in the works.
