- The family of *Pawn Stars* personality Rick Harrison said he’s recovering from heart surgery.

- Harrison, 61, married Agripina “Angie” Polushkin in January.

- The History Channel show is expected to return with new episodes in 2027.

Rick Harrison of *Pawn Stars* is overcoming a medical emergency.

On Friday, a family spokesperson told , “He went in for a simpler procedure and they found he needed a bypass. He is resting comfortably and looking forward to a full recovery. He is grateful for the doctors and staff at the hospital and that his wife and family can be with him during this time.”

Harrison, 61, married Agripina “Angie” Polushkin on Jan. 3 at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, where they were married by an Elvis impersonator, before the official ceremony at Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun on Jan. 26.

“We are so excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife and celebrate with friends and family in Las Vegas, and also at our wedding later this month,” the Harrisons said in a statement to PEOPLE. “It has been such an adventure already, and we are looking forward to all of it.”

Harrison is the father of five adult children from previous relationships, including Sarina, Cianam and Marissa, from ex-wife Deanna Burditt, and son Jake, whom he shares wth ex Tracy Harrison. He and former wife Kim Harrison are the parents of son Corey and his late brother Adam, who died of an overdose in 2024.

Harrison has been featured on the reality show since it debuted in 2009, chronicling the goings-on at a pawn shop on the outskirts of Las Vegas. His son Corey is also a costar, as was Rick’s father, Richard Harrison, who died in June 2018.

Another cast member of the History Channel series, Corey, dealt with his own serious medical crisis in January, when he crashed his motorcycle.

The injuries caused Corey to miss his dad’s wedding.

*Pawn Stars *went on hiatus in 2025, with Corey having said that he didn’t plan to appear on it anymore.

“At this stage of the game, we’re all playing a character on *Pawn Stars*,“ he told the *Las Vegas Review-Journal** *in February 2025. “I can’t play another season of 41-year-old me pretending to be 23.”

The outlet reported in December that *Pawn Stars* will return in early 2027 without him.
