Seth Meyers has a real bee in his bonnet about one particular detail of Donald Trump’s widely mocked renaming of Lake Ontario as Lake America.

In the “Late Night” host’s weekly online update during the show’s summer hiatus, Meyers said his “least favorite thing about the name change” was the way Trump, in a video announcing his executive order, crossed out both the words “Lake” and “Ontario” on a map before writing in “Lake America.”

“Why not just cross out Ontario and write America?” Meyers asked.

The renaming itself — which, like Trump’s “Gulf of America” order for the Gulf of Mexico, has no standing with other countries or private entities — was “real dork ****,” Meyers declared.

“I mean, they’re just such dorks,” he continued of Trump, who has launched a trade war against Canada.

“Again, it is a real reminder that they can’t actually accomplish anything,” he said.

“Nobody cares,” he added. “Everybody can see it for what it is.”
