Sharon Stone recalled seeing “orbs” of light following her 2001 stroke, as described in a clip of Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown, exclusively shared with Entertainment Weekly.

Stone nearly died from the stroke and shared that she subsequently struggled sleeping at night.

“I just kept saying to them, ‘I don’t know if I’m supposed to stay here or if I’m supposed to die,’” she said.

Abandon all basic instincts because Sharon Stone is sharing the inexplicable visions she saw following her near-fatal stroke.

The Casino actress opened up in an upcoming episode of Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown, which premieres on Tuesday, about her recovery journey and what she saw in her dreams after her 2001 health scare.

“When I was first home from the hospital, I couldn’t sleep at night and I was sleeping in the day,” Stone told host Mayim Bialik. “When I was laying on the couch, sleeping and awake, these orbs sort of presented themselves to me. These five orbs presented themselves to me and they sort of talked to me, but in a digital language.”

The 68-year-old confessed that she has never shared her experience because it was difficult to explain. However, she said that these glowing orbs gave her foresight into her eventual custody battle over eldest son, Roan.

“I just kept saying to them, ‘I don’t know if I’m supposed to stay here or if I’m supposed to die,’” Stone shared. “And they said, ‘You’re supposed to stay.’ And I said, ‘I can only stay if two of you will stay with my son. Because I don’t want him to be alone, and I think he’s gonna get taken from me.’”

At the time, Roan was only a year old. Stone and ex-husband Phil Bronstein had adopted him in 2000. When the couple divorced in 2004, the Basic Instinct star lost custody, which she later revealed was partly because of the roles she took on.

“Sure enough, he was taken from me,” she continued, explaining her communications with the orbs. “And I said, ‘We have to have an agreement. The two of you will stay with him and protect him.’ And they agreed. And they said, ‘But your destiny requires that we stay with you.’”

Despite the legal battle over Roan, the Oscar nominee and her son, now 26, have maintained a close relationship throughout the years. Stone later adopted two sons on her own: Laird, 21, and Quinn, 20.

As for seeing the lights after her stroke, Stone revealed that she was not afraid of the experience.

“I was curious,” she said, “but very much at peace.”
