Frey says the decision was driven by concerns about the U.S. and a desire for a new cultural experience
Taylor Frey and his husband Kyle Dean Massey are moving their family out of the United States.
On Thursday, May 14, the actor, 37, shared a series of posts on his Instagram Stories and announced that he and Massey are moving with their two kids out of the United States in order to build the "safest, healthiest life" for their family.
"Yes, we're moving. But not just to another house...to another country," Frey began. "I will always recognize the blessing and privilege of being born in America. I love my country deeply."

Frey and Massey share daughters Gigi, 2, and Rafa, 4, as well as son Savoy, whom they welcomed in February.
"About 10 months ago, Kyle and I reached a tipping point. We realized this was no longer the right fit for our family," he continued. "Every country has its issues. But the challenges in the country we've chosen are ones we're more willing to navigate than the ones we feel here."
"I truly believe it will take decades to repair the damage that's been done here. That realization was heartbreaking for us. But it also made our decision clear. As parents, our responsibility is simple: build the safest, healthiest life possible for our kids."

Frey went on to share that his older daughter, Rafa, has been accepted into a school in the country they are moving to, and they will soon begin their new chapter.
"A new way of doing things, a new culture in a place we have long loved. One where, as a family, we feel safer in a variety of ways," he said. "We have loved our life here. And who knows, maybe there will be a time we return. But not anytime soon."
Back in February, Frey and Massey shared with PEOPLE that they'd welcomed their third baby, son Savoy, and also revealed they'd be moving to London.
Massey told PEOPLE at the time that their baby boy was "ten years in the making," adding the entire process was "so intentional and worth it."
“This beautiful boy is ten years in the making. As long and as challenging as family building through assisted reproduction can be, it is so intentional and worth it," he said. "We love this baby so much."
As for Frey, the new addition to their family made him feel like "the most fortunate man on earth."
“I am simply the most fortunate man on earth and so grateful for the people who have helped me become a father," he said. "I think of my egg donor daily, and I am endlessly thankful for our surrogate Sara."
