- Taylor Hanson might pull out “MMMBop” on *Dancing With the Stars* this season.

- The lead singer of Hanson tells EW there’s “no promises” but asks viewers to watch and see.

- Taylor will appear on season 35 of *DWTS* with pro partner Britt Stewart.

Taylor Hanson knows viewers want to see him dance to his ‘90s hit single “MMMBop” on *Dancing With the Stars *this season—but he’s not making any promises.

The lead singer of Hanson, the boy band he formed with brothers Zac and Isaac Hanson, tells ** there’s no guarantee he’ll perform a routine to the song, even if he knows judge Bruno Tonioli, and millions of listeners, are big fans.

“We met last night, there was a little gathering of all the contestants, and apparently Bruno bought my first single the year it came out,” Taylor tells EW during an exclusive interview following the season 35 cast reveal. “Right out of the gate. So okay, it sounds like there’s a connect there.”

In terms of pulling “MMMBop” out as a party trick right away, Taylor says, “Obviously, people know that song well. No promises and we’ll see. You got to hang around and see what happens.”

One thing’s for sure, Stewart will totally use Tonioli’s love of Hanson to her advantage in the competition. “If there’s an opportunity that Taylor can wink at Bruno, I will be doing that. Don’t worry,” she tells EW.

Taylor says he’s happy to finally talk to people about being a part of *DWTS* after holding the secret in for a few weeks. “There’s a time where you know and everyone’s kind of like, ‘Who can I tell about this? I’m not supposed to talk about this,’” he explains, adding that ballroom dance is “a huge leap” for him.

“Totally different world,” he says, noting that although he knows how to perform on stage, he’s a “newbie” when it comes to “getting the body to do the right thing.”

“You have to not take yourself too seriously. This is fun. We’re having fun. We’re taking a leap,” Taylor insists of the *DWTS* journey. “We’re with all kinds of people that have very, very different backgrounds. I’m glad I have a master there to show me the way. And then we figure out what happens. We just go for it.”

Taylor says his dynamic with Stewart, heading into her seventh season as a pro, has been “great” and “a give and take since day one.”

“Taylor and I are finding that we have a lot in common,” Stewart adds to EW. “But one thing that’s the most in common is we both show up as our authentic selves. And so the fact that we both are that way organically and naturally, and then we can just come together the way that you need to in this process anyway, is great.”

Stewart confirms that Taylor is a newcomer but also “an amazing student.”

“He’s been joking that he’s like this ball of clay for me to mold and form,” she says. “And it’s been a short amount of time because we’re very early into the process and into the journey, but it’s been a beautiful one.”

Joining Taylor on season 35 of *DWTS* is Jenna Dewan, Julia Stiles, Harry Shum Jr., Tatyana Ali, Tyler Cameron, Giada De Laurentiis, Maura Higgins, Ciara Miller, Sarah Jane Nader, Guillermo Rodriguez, Jackson Olson, Ezra Frech, Amber Glenn, Conner Leavitt, and Connor Wood.

The *Dancing with the Stars* two-night premiere airs Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+.
