Tom Blyth told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that he hasnāt chatted with Ralph Fiennes about their shared Hunger Games role
The actors both portray Coriolanus Snow at different stages of his life in The Hunger Games film franchise through The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping
The latest Hunger Games movie, Sunrise on the Reaping, hits theaters on Nov. 20
Has Tom Blyth touched base with Ralph Fiennes about his portrayal of Coriolanus Snow in the upcoming The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping ā after playing a younger version of the same character in a previous Hunger Games film?
āI havenāt talked to Ralph Fiennes,ā Blyth, 31, told PEOPLE exclusively during the opening night of his new Broadway show, A Few Good Men, which is currently playing at the Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City.
āI think heās fine without my help,ā he added with a laugh.

Fiennes, 63, stars as the power-hungry and sinister Snow in the latest Hunger Games prequel movie, which takes place about two decades after the film in which Blyth starred as a younger version of the character, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.
Even though Blyth hasnāt communicated with Fiennes, he said he keeps in touch with a number of his costars and colleagues from 2023ās The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.
āI text with [film director] Francis Lawrence frequently,ā Blyth told PEOPLE. āWeāre all good friends, all the crew that did that.ā
Still, Blyth said he hopes to see the latest installment in the Hunger Games film franchise, which hits theaters on Nov. 20, āsoon.ā
āIt looks really great. Theyāve done a really good job with it,ā he said.

Blyth plays Lt. Daniel Kaffee in the Broadway revival of A Few Good Men, a role portrayed by Tom Cruise in the 1992 film adaptation.
Similar to his connection to Fiennes, Blyth told PEOPLE he also didnāt communicate with Cruise, 64, about their shared role.
āIām trying to do my own thing,ā he explained. āYou wanna follow in someoneās footsteps ā of like the great choices they made ā but you donāt wanna follow in their shadow. Iām trying to make it my own.ā
āThe only way to keep it fresh and make it feel right is to make it feel like itās the first time itās ever happened,ā continued Blyth.
āSo as much as I love that performance of his and love the film, Iāve not watched it since I was younger, because I didnāt wanna copy or imitate,ā added the star.
