Due to the midterm elections taking place on November 3, "WWE NXT" moved to its previous home of Wednesday night with the November 4 episode. The show went head-to-head with the Blood and Guts edition of "AEW Dynamite," and because of that, WWE loaded "NXT" with a host of main roster talent to give AEW some serious competition. Despite the star power on the show, it was "NXT" that had to eat the loss.

According to Wrestlenomics, with data provided by PWTorch, the November 4 episode of "NXT" averaged a total of 552,000 viewers, which is 30% lower than the 792,000 viewers "Dynamite" averaged. However, even though it was a preempted episode, this week's figure was actually higher than the October 27 episode which averaged 520,000 viewers, marking a 6% rise on the previous week. 552,000 viewers is 13% lower than the trailing four week average of 636,000, but it does take the 2026 fourth quarter average up to 610,000 viewers, which is 4% higher from the same period last year.

In the 18-49 demographic, "NXT" posted a 0.13 number, which is the highest number in the demo for "NXT" since the October 13 episode, and 44% higher than the previous week's 0.09, while also being 18% higher than the trailing four week average of 0.11. With that said, "Dynamite" nearly doubled the number with the Blood and Guts special by posting a 0.24 number. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer also reported that "NXT" posted a 0.16 number in the 25-54 demographic, though that was also dwarfed by the 0.27 number AEW posted.

Fans who tuned in on Wednesday night to watch "NXT" saw John Cena invite Zilla Fatu to be part of the upcoming John Cena Classic, and Cody Rhodes present Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno with the Dusty Tag Team Classic tournament trophy following Dar and Moreno's victory over Hank and Tank. Both Paige and CM Punk challenged for gold on the show as well, though Paige couldn't get the win over Kelani Jordan for the WWE NXT Women's Championship, while an interference from Kevin Owens helped Grayson Waller retain his WWE NXT Championship over Punk.
